MarMàréa® is a geopolymeric material composed of discarded shells from bivalve mollusks in the food industry.
The project aims to replace polluting materials like ceramics, using natural resources and reducing the extraction
of new raw materials through circular economy practices, thus safeguarding the environment.

shells
Approximately 7 million tonnes of shells are discarded each year, considered waste from the maritime industry, restaurants, and end consumers. The shells, being an abundant source of primary chemicals substances, turn out to be an extraordinary natural element which we use in the field of design.

Thanks to its multiple qualities, Marmàréa® can be used in various applications
and design fields, from architecture to interior design.
To further enrich this virtuous circle, returning waste to its origin, in other words,
from the table to the table, by using food waste to create kitchen accessories and tableware.
The final result is the tale of a long journey, from table to table, encapsulated in a product that embodies the solidity and hardness of natural stone and the aesthetic texture of ceramics. This is achieved through an unparalleled eco-friendly material, from raw materials to end-of-life, as it is reusable.

about us
Cosmic Latte is the name given to the color of the universe, it is the result of the average shades emitted by the light of the celestial bodies of over 200,000 galaxies.
This color is representative of our identity as designers because it is a soft beige shade tending to white. It appears neutral and sober.
Actually it is composed of a multitude of different tones and different colors, as well as our approach to design wants to achive elegant and minimalist solutions out with an exuberant and original soul.

Cosmic Latte, born from the collaboration of Beatrice Borellini and Laura Verri, strategic designers and long-time friends, reflects their shared ambition and entrepreneurial spirit.
